Assessment & Diagnostics

The Learning Strategies Group helps teams and organizations gain clarity and articulate their needs through comprehensive assessment processes, including interviews, organizational surveys, focus groups, document analyses, performance observations, self and peer assessments, and other means

  • To identify key issues, challenges, and development needs of an organization:
    • Reviewing vision, mission, values, strategy, structure, systems, process efficiency, use of technology, roles and responsibilities
    • Conducting environmental scans, employee and stakeholder satisfaction surveys
    • Completing leadership effectiveness and impact assessments, team climate surveys and cultural diagnostics
    • Identifying core competencies, key leadership principles, competency mapping and 360-reviews
  • To benchmark for strategic goal setting and organizational alignment
    • Answering questions such as: Are we performing our best? What are the indicators and measures of our success? What performance targets define success for our organization? How will we measure them?
    • Establishing standards of excellence for an activity, function, system, practice, program or initiative within an organization and can contribute to continuous improvement, strategic fitness, and metrics for evaluating the impact of learning.
  • To establish an Industry baseline
    • Utilizing applied industry baseline research to inform the design of innovative strategic learning solutions
    • Providing ’micro’ insights into discrete operational practices, as well as ‘macro’ insights into the industry overall, including the competitive forces and direction of the industry
    • Providing valuable input for contextualization of strategic learning solutions, as well as wider insights for strategy development and goal clarity.
  • For awareness-building in development programs
    • Utilizing a variety of specific assessment tools such as the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, DiSC, Insights, EQ-i (Emotional Intelligence) and CQ (Cultural Intelligence), Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument as well as fully customized psychometric testing and assessment batteries.
