About Us

At the heart of the vision for the Centre for Corporate Governance and Risk Management (CCGRM) is the belief that good governance requires an enterprise-wide view of risk management. The knowledge and abilities required to manage risk must be brought to the highest levels of corporate governance: to the boards of directors who provide external governance for the firm; and to senior managers who formulate and execute the board-approved strategic directions for the firm. Identifying and disseminating best practices for corporate governance and risk management is at the core of the Centre’s mandate.

In its initial phase of development, the Centre will pursue and sponsor research in three broad, yet highly interrelated areas of corporate governance and risk management:

  • The strategic dimensions of corporate governance including risk management
  • The social and ethical dimensions of corporate governance and risk management
  • The international dimensions of corporate governance and risk management
